The townspeople thought better, converting the building and a high school remained in operation there until 1966. It is now a Trip Advisor Five-Star rated museum open daily until September 28th when it closes for the season, although it is available for groups of two or more by appointment. The Museum will reopen Memorial Day weekend 2026.
